Lakes & Dales

Day 1:

Journey to Morecambe - After pick-up from local departure points, we begin our scenic journey north to the charming seaside town of Morecambe, with regular stops en-route to stretch your legs and enjoy the countryside views.
On arrival, take some time to explore the promenade, breathe in the fresh sea air, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere before checking in at the Auckland Hotel. In the evening, unwind with dinner at the hotel, followed by entertainment on most nights.

Day 2:

Yorkshire Dales & Wensleydale Creamery - This morning we venture into the Yorkshire Dales National Park, a landscape of rolling hills, lush valleys, and picturesque villages. Our first stop is Hawes and the famous Wensleydale Creamery, where we enjoy a demonstration of how Wallace's favourite cheese is made and, of course, a chance to sample some delicious varieties.
We then continue our journey along the stunning Garsdale Valley through to Sedbergh, a charming market town where we have time to explore at leisure. From here, we travel through the scenic Lune Valley to Kirkby Lonsdale, allowing some free time to wander this historic town before returning to our hotel for dinner and evening entertainment.

Day 3:

Holker Hall & Lake Windermere Cruise - Today we travel north to visit the magnificent Holker Hall & Gardens. Owned by Lord and Lady Cavendish, Holker Hall epitomises the elegance and grandeur of country house life before the Great War. Explore the 25 acres of award-winning gardens, beautifully set in the surrounding countryside.
After lunch, we journey into the heart of the Lake District for a scenic cruise across Lake Windermere to the charming town of Bowness. Enjoy time to stroll along the lakeside, browse the shops, or simply take in the stunning views before returning to our hotel for dinner and evening entertainment.

Day 4:

Forest of Bowland & Leeds & Liverpool Canal - After breakfast, we travel through the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, to the historic market town of Clitheroe. Enjoy some time to explore its charming streets, quaint shops, and local sights at your leisure.
We then continue to Skipton, where we enjoy a relaxing trip along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, taking in the tranquil waters and picturesque scenery. After the cruise, there's some free time in Skipton to browse the town or enjoy a coffee before returning to our hotel for dinner and evening entertainment.

Day 5:

Homeward Bound - After breakfast, we bid farewell to the beautiful Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, beginning our journey homeward. Sit back and relax on the coach as we retrace our route, reflecting on the stunning landscapes, charming towns, and memorable experiences enjoyed during this unforgettable tour.
