Each spring, the charming Cambridgeshire village of Thriplow bursts into life with millions of golden daffodils for its annual Daffodil Weekend a much-loved countryside celebration that has been delighting visitors since 1969. Originally started to raise funds to repair the village church roof, the event has now raised over £700,000 for charity and become a highlight of the spring calendar.
Stroll through winding village lanes lined with daffodils in every shade of yellow, white, and orange, while enjoying the sights, sounds, and scents of the season. The village transforms into a lively festival filled with over 120 stalls, offering local crafts, gifts, flowers, and mouth-watering food.
Visitors can watch Morris dancers, live musicians, and traditional performers bringing the streets to life. Children can enjoy tractor trailer rides, funfair attractions, and even spot the vintage steam engine puffing gently away in the background.
