Once settled, the festive city is yours to explore. Head into the city centre, where a wide variety of bars and restaurants await, or immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit with a visit to the Edinburgh Christmas Market, enjoying traditional German cuisine and festive treats as you soak up the seasonal atmosphere.
Day 2:
Free Day in Edinburgh - Today is a full day at leisure to continue exploring the festive delights of Edinburgh. Wander through the historic streets, visit the castle or other iconic landmarks, or spend more time browsing the Christmas Market stalls for unique gifts and seasonal treats.
With the city's vibrant bars, cosy cafés, and charming shops, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Return to the hotel at your own pace to relax or sample more of the city's culinary delights.
Day 3:
Wye Valley, Tintern Abbey & Chepstow - After breakfast, we follow the twists and turns of the scenic Wye Valley, stopping for a coffee break and a photo opportunity at the magnificent ruins of Tintern Abbey. This national icon still stands in roofless splendour on the banks of the River Wye, nearly 500 years after its fall from grace.
We then continue to the historic walled border town of Chepstow, a medieval gem boasting an impressive 11th-century castle perched dramatically on cliffs above the River Wye. Discover the town gate, port wall, Priory Church of St Mary, and the town museum, offering plenty to interest history and culture enthusiasts.
There's also time to enjoy Chepstow's charming cafés, pubs, and restaurants, perfect for a coffee or light lunch, before returning to the hotel for dinner and evening entertainment, rounding off another memorable day in the heart of the Wye Valley.
Day 4:
Day 4 - Free Time & Departure - After breakfast, enjoy some free time to make the most of your final hours in Edinburgh. Take a last stroll through the festive streets, revisit the Christmas Market, or grab a coffee in one of the city's charming cafés.
