Day 1:
Travel to Newcastle - After pick-ups from your local area, we head north to Newcastle, making regular comfort stops along the way. On arrival at the hotel, you will have time to settle in, relax, and enjoy your first evening dinner as you prepare for the adventures ahead.
Day 2:
Alnwick Gardens & Free Time - This morning, we visit the spectacular Alnwick Gardens, one of England's most stunning horticultural attractions. Spend time exploring the beautifully landscaped grounds, including the famous Treehouse, tranquil water features, and vibrant flower displays. You'll also get the opportunity to wander through the historic town of Alnwick, renowned for its connections to the Harry Potter films and its charming streets filled with shops and cafés.
Day 3
Newcastle City Excursion - Today, we explore the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne, a vibrant city rich in history and culture. Admire the iconic Tyne Bridge, stroll along the lively Quayside, and explore the city's historic streets, shops, and cafés at your own pace. Whether you wish to browse local boutiques, enjoy a coffee by the riverside, or take in the architecture, there's plenty to see and do.
Day 4:
Lindisfarne & Bamburgh Castle - We journey along the stunning Northumberland coast to visit Lindisfarne (Holy Island) and Bamburgh Castle. The order of visits depends on tide times for the causeway to Lindisfarne. Experience the area's medieval history, dramatic coastal scenery, and impressive fortifications. Walk along the beaches, explore the castle grounds, and soak up the atmosphere of this iconic coastal region.
Day 5:
Return Home - After breakfast, we begin our journey home, stopping en route if time allows. Arrive back at your local area by late afternoon, taking with you wonderful memories of Northumberland's castles, gardens, and breathtaking coastline.
