Ayrshire Crowning Glory

Day 1:

Travel to Irvine - After local pick-up, we make our way north, stopping regularly for your comfort. We arrive at Riverside Lodge Hotel in the late afternoon, with time to relax before enjoying dinner.

Day 2:

Burrell Collection & Glasgow - This morning, we visit the world-renowned Burrell Collection, set within the beautiful woodland surroundings of Pollok Country Park on the outskirts of Glasgow. Housing over 9,000 objects-including works by Degas, Rodin, medieval treasures, and artefacts from around the world-the museum offers something to capture every imagination. You will enjoy a fascinating one-hour guided tour, with time to browse the galleries at your own pace afterwards.

We then make our way into Glasgow city centre, where you'll have free time to explore Scotland's largest city. Perhaps wander along Buchanan Street with its elegant shops, visit the impressive Glasgow Cathedral, or relax with a coffee while soaking up the city's vibrant atmosphere.

Later in the afternoon we return to the hotel, with time to relax before dinner.

Day 3:

Dumfries House & Troon - After a leisurely breakfast, we set off for Dumfries House, one of Scotland's most magnificent stately homes. Saved for the nation by His Majesty King Charles III, this 18th-century gem is renowned for its Chippendale furniture collection and beautifully preserved interiors. On arrival, you will enjoy a guided tour of the house, followed by refreshments, with time to explore the stunning walled garden at your own pace.

In the afternoon, we travel via the coastal town of Troon, where you'll have some free time to enjoy the sea air, stroll along the harbour, or simply relax before we continue our journey back to the hotel.

Day 4:

Isle of Arran - Today we make our way to the beautiful Isle of Arran, often described as "Scotland in Miniature" for its blend of rugged mountains, lush countryside, and charming villages. A short ferry crossing takes us across the Firth of Clyde, where we begin with a visit to the impressive Brodick Castle. Surrounded by spectacular gardens and woodland, the castle offers a fascinating glimpse into Scotland's history.

Afterwards, we spend time in the village of Brodick, where you can enjoy lunch, browse local shops, or simply take in the island's relaxed atmosphere. Later in the afternoon, we return by ferry to the mainland and make our way back to the hotel for our final evening together.

Day 5:

Return Home - After breakfast, we bid farewell to our hosts and begin the journey home. With comfort stops along the way, we ensure a relaxed and pleasant return, bringing with us wonderful memories of our time together.
