Bulbfields & Windmills, Holland

Day 1

After your local pickups, we set off in comfort aboard our luxury coach, making our way to the Channel for a smooth ferry crossing to mainland Europe. Once across, sit back and enjoy the drive through Belgium into Holland. We'll pause for comfort and refreshment stops along the way before arriving at our 4? hotel in time for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 2

Today we head straight to the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens, the jewel of Holland's floral crown. Wander among over 7 million bulbs in bloom, from tulips and daffodils to orchids and hyacinths, all set against a backdrop of tranquil ponds, sculptures, and historic trees. The gardens offer both peaceful walking trails and vibrant floral displays - a true feast for the senses.
After a leisurely visit, we continue with a scenic drive along the celebrated Bulbfields Route between Oegstgeest and Noordwijk. Here, endless fields of flowers stretch as far as the eye can see - waves of colour that change with the season. It's one of the most photogenic routes in Europe, and a highlight of spring in Holland.

Day 3

After breakfast, we make our way to Volendam, a charming harbour town on the shores of the IJsselmeer. With its quaint waterfront, colourful wooden houses, and locals often dressed in traditional Dutch costume, Volendam feels like stepping into a postcard. You may wish to sample fresh fish from one of the stalls or browse the souvenir shops for Dutch cheeses, clogs, and handicrafts.
Later, we continue to Zaanse Schans, a unique open-air museum that brings Holland's golden age to life. Here, towering windmills still turn against the skyline, and artisans demonstrate traditional crafts such as clog-making, cheese production, and tin-smithing. Explore authentic 17th-century houses, taste Dutch delicacies, and soak in the atmosphere of centuries past. You'll have time to enjoy a coffee, pick up gifts, or simply stroll through this living piece of history before we return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 4

Today we bid farewell to Holland and begin our journey back across Europe. Arriving at Calais, we board the ferry for the Channel crossing to Dover before continuing on to your original drop-off points, bringing home wonderful memories of colourful fields, historic towns, and the timeless beauty of Holland in spring.
