The History Behind “TAO 179G"

 

D & H Harrod Coaches was founded by Herman Harrod in 1927, initially operating a single vehicle for community events, such as dominoes matches, church outings, and trips to London. After Herman’s passing in 1965, his wife Dolly Harrod became one of only a few female coach drivers in Norfolk, continuing the family legacy.

Dolly often drove a Bedford Bella Vega, and while the original was later sold, our current coach—restored in her honor—pays tribute to her contribution and the history of the company.
