Day 1: After an early start we head north to Blairgowrie and the Angus Hotel for our 6 night stay.
Day 2: Today’s excursion is to the small historic cathedral town of Dunkeld with its majestic Cathedral, then onto the popular Victorian town of Pitlochry, famous for its salmon ladder and onto Queen’s View at Loch Tummel, which is one of the most photographed views of Scotland.
Day 3: After breakfast we make our way to the historic city of Dundee, with its famous Tay rail and road bridges, the RRS (Royal Research Ship) Discovery, the ship built in Dundee specifically for Captain Scott’s heroic voyage to Antarctica and the spectacular looking newV & A in Dundee, which opened in September 2018 and is the first Victoria and Albert museum outside of London.
Day 4: Marvel at the spectacular mountain views as you pass through Glenshee into Royal Deeside to visit the famous village of Braemar,
then onto the town of Ballater, where many Royal Warrants are displayed by suppliers to the Queen, Crathie Church where the Royal Family worship, and the Balmoral Estate.
Day 5: Free day in your local area.
Day 6: Today we visit the ‘Fair City’ of Perth now the country’s newest city. Bustling, compact and beautifully situated on the banks of the River Tay in the east of Scotland. After free time we board the coach for the short journey to Scone Palace the crowning place of Scottish kings where Macbeth, Robert the Bruce and Charles II were once crowned. Scone breathes history like nowhere else in Scotland. It is the family home of the Earls of Mansfield.
Day 7: We head for Home.
