The Lake District

Day 1

After local pick-ups we travel via the motorway network making regular stops arriving in our hotel in Kendal lateafternoon.

Day 2

This morning, we make the scenic journey North past Lake Windemere, Thirlmere Reservoir and Bassenthwaite Lake to The Lakes Distillery where a tour and tasting of their own whisky, vodka or gin awaits. We then retrace our steps to Keswick, situated between the huge bulk of Skiddaw and the gentle beauty of Derwentwater, for free time. We then make a final stop at Grassmere before returning to the hotel.

Day 3

Today we make our way to Lakeside & Haverthwaite Station for a short scenic journey to Lakeside, you then sail across Lake Windermere to Bowness-on- Windermere where you will enjoy the rest of your day.

Day 4

We head to Lake Ullswater for another scenic lake cruise. After you rejoin the coach, we travel through Kirkstone Pass and to Ambleside for a visit, we then head back to the hotel mid afternoon for free time in Kendal.

Day 5

We make our way homeward bound making regular stops arriving home late afternoon.
