Aye Up! Yorkshire's Scenic Railways & Waterways

Day 1

After local pickups we travel north to our chosen hotel for the next 4 nights.

Day 2

This morning begins with a 30 minute journey through the scenic Yorkshire Dales on the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway before enjoying free time for lunch in the charming market town of Skipton. In the afternoon we watch the world drift by on a relaxing 1 hour narrow boat cruise along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal through the picturesque Pennine countryside with tea and coffee served on board.

Day 3

Today we have a free day in Harrogate. The lovely Victorian spa town of Harrogate offers the grade ll listed Royal Pump Room Museum, various independent and well-known shops, the famous Betty’s Café Tea Rooms, the luxurious Turkish Baths and several pretty gardens.

Day 4

After breakfast we embark on a journey through Bronte country on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway from Howarth to Keighley – look out for the station which boost a starring role in the film The Railway Children. After we make our way to imposing Harewood House with its stunning interiors, beautiful gardens and remarkable views. We enjoy a soup and sandwich lunch before we’re free to explore, Harewood offers plenty to see.

Day 5

Today we make our way home.
