Day 1: We depart our local area & travel northwest via the motorway networks to our chosen hotel. We stop at regular intervals for your comfort & arrive at our hotel late afternoon with time to settle in and refresh before dinner.
Day 2: Today enjoy a leisurely breakfast & relax in the hotel spa, later enjoy a stroll around the world heritage town of Caernarfon. With its historic castle & royal connections to the historic waterfront & narrow streets & cafes there is plenty for you to enjoy.
Day 3: Today’s highlight has to be your included journey on the Welsh Highland Railway. Your journey takes you across stunning countryside to the coastal town of Porthmadog where on arrival you will have free time to explore. Later we continue into the Moonscape around Blaenau Ffestiniog as we climb the pass which take us down into Fairy Glen & onto Betswy Coed known as the gateway to Snowdonia National Park. After a comfort stop we continue on past the Ugly House & onto Flat Bog Land before climbing the imposing Llanberris Pass. A brief photo opportunity at the top before continuing back to Caernafon.
Day 4: We travel today to the queen of the Welsh resorts Llandudno. Enjoy a stroll along the pier or promenade or if you wish peruse the shops along the Victorian arcades. For the more adventurous take a trip to the Great Orme aboard the tramway. This limestone headland rises 679ft & is a site of special scientific interest. We return to our hotel late afternoon.
Day 5: Time to say goodbye. We follow the historic coaching route south to the Vale of Llangolen where there will be some free time before continuing homeward arriving early evening.
