Itinerary

Day 1: After our local pick ups we travel to the city of Nottingham. The city is renowned for its lacemaking but probably more famous is its
connection to Robin Hood. We have time here to explore before we depart and make our way to our hotel for the next 4 nights.

Day 2: We follow the River Derwent today up into the rolling hills of the Derbyshire dales and make our way to Chatsworth House the ancestral home of the Dukes of Devonshire. Entrance to house and gardens is included so amble through the spring colours of the gardens and enjoy the ornate splendor of the house interior.

Day 3: We travel today to Bakewell the home of Bakewell puddings. With its quaint shops and busy streets it is renowned as the Piccadilly of the north. We continue after lunch to the town of Buxton with its remarkable 14 springs and regency crescent there should besomething for all as we spend free time here before journeying back to our hotel through scenic mountains and dales.

Day 4: After breakfast today we make our way to Matlock Bath which developed as a spa town. The town is now home to many cafés bars and shops as well as tourist attractions such as the peak district mining museum,the heights of Abraham and cable cars to name but a few. Mid afternoon we depart for the short journey to Wirksworth where you will board a heritage rail car for a nostalgic rail journey to Duffield. Here you will be met by your holiday coach for the short journey back to our hotel.

Day 5: Today we depart our hotel for the journey homeward. We will make a stop enroute at the Denby Pottery Visitor Centre and aim to be back in our local area late afternoon.
