Waterways of Cheshire & North Wales

Day 1

After local pick-ups, we join the motorway network heading northwest towards Cheshire and the Mercure Abbots Well.

Day 2

After a leisurely breakfast we begin the day in charming Chester with a tranquil 30-minute cruise on the River Dee, we then give you some free time in Chester, after lunch we travel to the Wirral Peninsula and the award-winning Ness Botanic Gardens.

Day 3

Today we travel to Northwich and a ride on the magnificent Anderton Boat Lift built in 1875, the structure lifts passengers aboard the elegant Edwin Clark boat from the River Weaver to the Trent & Mersey Canal high above. We then spend the rest of the day in the pleasant market town of Nantwich.

Day 4

This morning, we have a leisurely drive past Ruthin travelling over the spectacular Horseshoe Pass to Llangollen. We have some time at leisure here before making our way to Proncysyllte where we enjoy a canal cruise with commentary en route.

Day 5

We make our way homeward bound making regular stops, arriving home late afternoon/early evening.
