We head to the Lakes for this Turkey & Tinsel, staying at the Cumbria Grand Hotel in Grange-over-Sands, the hotel is set in 20 acres of garden and woodland and overlooking Morecambe Bay, you are sure to receive a warm welcome from this charming Victorian hotel.

Overview:

Location: Outskirts/Suburbs.

The single room supplement is for the use of a standard single room

(en-suite), not for a twin/double for sole occupancy

Triple bedrooms (ie with 3 individual beds) are available on request

The hotel does have bedrooms with walk-in showers available on request

The hotel does have ground floor bedrooms as well as a lift (suitable for

wheelchairs) which travels to all floors

Note: Rooms with a bay view are only available on request and incur a supplement

Day 1

After local pick-ups we make our way over to the Lake District for our 4-night stay, when we arrive a glass of bubbly or sherry will be waiting for you.

Day 2

After a leisurely breakfast we travel Ambleside for the morning. We then re-trace our footsteps back to Bowness-on-Windermere for the afternoon.

Day 3

After breakfast we head to Kendal, the gateway to the lakes. We spend until after lunch before heading through to Grasmere for the afternoon.

Day 4

Today we make our way up to Keswick, situated between the huge bulk of Skiddaw and the gentle beauty of Derwentwater, has become the major centre for tourism in the northern Lake District. This pretty market town offers a wide range of attractions for visitors, from shops and restaurants to museums with a difference, and boating trips around Lake Derwentwater. Also Thursday is Market Day so plenty of extra time to spend have a good walk round. after lunch and weather dependant we pass Lake Ullswater and head through the Kirkstone Pass hopefully for a nice picture as well. We then head back to the hotel ready for our last night.

Day 5

Sadly this morning we must make our way homeward bound.
