Arundel & The South Downs

Day 1

After local pick-ups, we make our way south making regular stops en route to Arundel.

Day 2

This morning, we visit Arundel Castle, this castle is one of the finest historic buildings of Southern England and is totally unmissable. Arundel Cathedral - The magnificent 19th-century Cathedral, that stands as a proud icon of the Duke of Norfolk’s historical defence of Catholicism in Britain. After lunch we travel to Lewes, with a chance to visit Anne of Cleeves House Museum.

Day 3

After a leisurely breakfast we travel to the Cathedral City of Chichester on market day. You also have the opportunity to visit the Cathedral, a living church that has been at the centre of life in Chichester for over nine centuries. After lunch we make the short journey to Fishbourne Roman Palace the largest Roman home in Britain. Imagine the luxury that would once have surrounded the proud owner of this lavish Roman residence. Stroll around the recreated Roman gardens - the earliest gardens found anywhere in the country - and enjoy the largest collection of mosaics in situ in the UK.

Day 4

Today we head to beautiful Bognor Regis, it has long been one of the UK’s favourite coastal towns and regularly tops the UK charts for the most sunshine hours in a year!

Day 5

Sadly, we must make our way home today making a lunch stop at Polhill Garden Centre arriving home late afternoon.
